Professor Koen Steemers is a renowned expert in sustainable architecture and environmental design. He has significantly contributed to the understanding of how architectural and urban design implications affect environmental issues, particularly in the context of sustainability, energy use, and human behaviour well-being. His leadership roles include serving as the Head of the Department of Architecture and Head Research Director at the Martin Centre. He has been acknowledged as one of the top 50 influential figures in sustainability in the UK by Building Design.
