Biography

Konrad Nübel is a Full Professor of Construction Process Management at the Technical University of Munich. His research focuses on construction process management within the entire value chain of the construction industry. He has expertise in management discipline and organization, particularly in the context of production technology in construction. Nübel studied civil engineering at the University of Karlsruhe (now known as KIT) and the University of Waterloo in Canada. He earned his Ph.D. in geotechnical engineering from KIT and worked as a scientific assistant. His research experiences include invitations for research stays at various institutions across Europe and Japan, focusing on numerical modeling of granular material behavior. He has held management roles in the construction industry and consulting firms such as Züblin and Bilfinger. Nübel joined TUM in 2019 and is an active member on several boards, including the TUM Leonhard Obermeyer Center and the TUM Cluster for Sustainable Real Estate. In 2021, he received an Honorary Certificate for Excellence in Teaching from TUM.
