Biography

Konstantina Vasilakopoulou is a Research Associate in the Enabling Environments Program at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). Her research focuses on home modifications for inclusive design, emphasizing the importance of creating environments that accommodate individuals with varying needs. Prior to her tenure at UNSW, she worked as a researcher at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Centre for Renewable Energy Sources in Greece. Konstantina's research interests include universal design principles, lighting design, energy efficiency in the built environment, and urban climate mitigation techniques. She is particularly invested in exploring how lighting parameters can provide safe environments for people with reduced vision, contributing to the broader goal of inclusive urban design.
