Biography

Konstantinos joined King's College London in 2015 as a Professor in the Economics Department of Political Economy. Prior to this, he held a position as a Fellow in Political Science with a focus on Political Economy in the Department of Government at the London School of Economics from 2013 to 2015. Konstantinos has also been a Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Economy at the University of Rochester's Wallis Institute. He earned his PhD in Economics from the University of Warwick in 2012. His research primarily revolves around Political Economy, Positive Political Science, Public Economics, and Applied Microeconomics, utilizing formal game-theoretic modeling and systematic empirical analysis. His interests extend to the dynamics of political economy, evaluation, and design of public policy, especially pertaining to economic redistribution and electoral behavior, while he studies how electoral institutions evolve and affect polarization and turnout. His recent work examines the linkage between economic and political inequality and the conditions under which political economic development takes place.
