Biography

Korey Williams grew up in suburban Chicago. He completed his undergraduate career at Illinois Wesleyan University and also studied abroad at Hertford College, University of Oxford. He completed the Master of Arts Program in the Humanities at the University of Chicago in 2014 before earning an MFA in poetry from Cornell University. Williams was a finalist for the 2017 National Poetry Series, and his work has appeared in various literary outlets including Assaracus: Journal of Gay Poetry, Fogged Clarity, Winter Tangerine, Offing, and Narrative Magazine, among others. He returned to the University of Chicago as a doctoral student, where his research centers on poetry and poetics.
