Dr. Kosta Sokol

Biography

Sokol Kosta is a professor at Aalborg University in the Department of Electronic Systems. His academic career spans various roles, including associate professor and assistant professor at the same department. Before joining Aalborg University, he held postdoctoral positions at the Department of Computer Science in Sapienza University of Rome and at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Kosta’s work focuses on topics such as Edge Computing, AI Acceleration, and Mobile Cloud Computing, particularly in analyzing and modeling mobile social networks. His contributions to research include leading several EU-funded projects and collaborating with international partners on critical infrastructure and cloud-edge computing solutions. He has a robust publication record, including journal articles and conference proceedings in notable venues. Kosta is also actively involved in academic supervision, guiding PhD students and contributing to educational programs in Computer Science. His teaching activities encompass a range of subjects from algorithms to IoT security, demonstrating his commitment to advancing education in his field.
