Biography

Koushik Venkatesan is an Associate Professor specializing in organic and organometallic materials chemistry. His research focuses on the rational design and creation of novel molecular and macromolecular structures for light-emitting devices and solar cells, which are crucial for energy conversion applications. His ongoing projects investigate the development of highly stable luminescent triplet phosphors derived from organometallic complexes and explore functionalization strategies to tailor electronic properties for molecular memory devices. His expertise encompasses a wide range of topics within synthetic, organic, polymer, inorganic, and organometallic chemistry, as well as photochemistry. Areas of active investigation include organic and organometallic materials chemistry, light-emitting molecules, electronic materials, and molecular electronics. His research group aims to expand knowledge in these fields through innovative methodologies and collaboration.
