Biography

Krešo Bučar obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from the University of Zagreb, where he was supervised by Dr. Ernest Mestrović. He then pursued his Ph.D. in chemistry at the University of Iowa under the guidance of Professor Leonard R. MacGillivray. Bučar started his independent research career as a Royal Society Newton International Fellow at the University of Cambridge, kindly hosted by Professor William Jones, and served as a Bye-Fellow at Sidney Sussex College. He joined the Department of Chemistry at University College London as a UCL Excellence Fellow and lecturer. His research interests mainly revolve around the applications of molecular cocrystals, and he is a member of the editorial board for ACS Crystal Growth & Design.
