Professor Dr. Kresten Anderskouv

Biography

Kresten Anderskouv is an Associate Professor at the University of Copenhagen. His expertise includes sedimentary processes, palaeoceanography, and the reconstruction of past environments and events. He has focused his research on pelagic carbonates, sedimentological oceanography, and the evolution of pelagic carbonate systems, particularly during the Early Cretaceous. His work also involves studying depositional processes and remobilization related to pelagic carbonates and Cretaceous sedimentology in Northwest Europe. Kresten has engaged in consultancy activities including ichnofabric sedimentary signatures and the influence of environmental factors on carbonate deposition. He is involved in academia, providing lectures and engaging in collaborations across Europe, America, and Asia.
