Biography

Kresten Yvind’s research activities focus on optical semiconductor components, theory, fabrication, testing, and applications. He has established facilities at DTU for the production of III-V semiconductors, including Gallium Arsenide and Indium Phosphide, in collaboration with DTU-Danchip (now DTU Nanolab). His special interests include nonlinear photonic integrated circuits and advanced pulsed MEMS-tunable lasers, which have applications in telecommunications and medical diagnostics.
