Professor Dr. Kris De Jaegher

Biography

Kris De Jaegher is an Associate Professor at Utrecht University School of Economics with a specialization in game theory and microeconomic theory. His recent research focuses on the conditions that enable individuals to engage in collective action and form mutually beneficial networks, especially in the face of common threats. He explores the competitive dynamics within these networks, including the potential for sabotage. In addition to his work on social economic networks, he collaborates with experimental economists to test hypotheses grounded in economic theory. His research contributions extend primarily to economics but also to political science, particularly in relation to government repression, as well as to theoretical biology, especially evolutionary game theory.
