Biography

Krishan K Ahuja is a Regents Professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology with more than 35 years of research and development experience in aircraft noise research and acoustics. He has worked extensively in facilities design, flow control, advanced signal processing, and state-of-the-art instrumentation. Ahuja's career includes a 13-year tenure at Lockheed in various capacities, including head of Aeroacoustics Research and acting manager of the Advanced Flight Sciences Department, where he was also a principal investigator and program manager for projects funded by organizations such as Lockheed, the U.S. Air Force, and NASA. He joined the faculty at Georgia Tech in March 1989 as a Senior Faculty Research Leader and has served as Director for Georgia Tech Ireland. Ahuja is an associate editor for the AIAA Journal and has chaired the AIAA Aeroacoustics Technical Committee. With over 180 technical articles and reports to his name, his research covers topics including acoustic shielding, fan noise, active flow control, jet noise, and computational aeroacoustics. Ahuja has received several distinctions including the GTRI Outstanding Performance Research Award and the AIAA Engineer of the Year award in 2000.
