Biography

Krishna Nayak is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the USC Viterbi School of Engineering with joint appointments in Biomedical Engineering and Radiology at the Keck School of Medicine. He obtained his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 2001, and holds MS and BS degrees in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and Florida State University, respectively. His research aims to develop and clinically translate novel Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologies, focusing on new MRI pulse sequences, data sampling, image reconstruction, and artifact mitigation techniques. His current projects involve tools for cardiac stress testing, obstructive sleep apnea assessment, brain tumor evaluation, and speech production analysis. Nayak has a significant history of collaboration with experts across various fields to validate and translate imaging technologies.
