Biography

Krista Nadakavukaren is the Vice Director at the Swiss Institute of Comparative Law in Lausanne, Switzerland, and an adjunct instructor at the Universities of Basel, Bern, Fribourg, and Zurich. Her academic journey began in the United States, where she received her Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law School. She later earned a doctorate (Habilitation) from the University of Bern. Krista has a longstanding interest in the intersection of international economic law and various areas of international law. Her research focuses on significant themes such as poverty, corruption, human rights, and vulnerability, along with traditional topics within trade and investment law. Recently, her work has addressed the Sustainable Development Goals concerning poverty elimination and the impact of national security concerns on the international economic law framework.
