Dr. Kristen Arredondo

Biography

Kristen Arredondo, M.D., is a board-certified pediatric neurologist at UT Health Austin Pediatric Neurosciences at Dell Children’s. She specializes in the Comprehensive Pediatric Epilepsy Center, with particular interests in medically refractory epilepsy, neurostimulation, and the management of tuberous sclerosis. Dr. Arredondo earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine and completed her residency in pediatrics at Texas Children’s Hospital, which is part of the Baylor College of Medicine program. She further trained in pediatric neurology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and completed a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at Children’s Health. Prior to joining UT Health Austin, she was a medical faculty member at Ohio State University College of Medicine and served as a surgical epileptologist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus. Her research interests encompass thalamic EEG practice trends in epilepsy, presurgical evaluation, and surgical management in the United States. She is an active member of several professional organizations including the American Epilepsy Society, American Clinical Neurophysiology Society, and the American Academy of Neurology. She also serves on the committee developing educational podcasts for the Child Neurology Society.
