Biography

Kristen Lo Sicco, MD, is an experienced dermatologist specializing in hair loss and complex medical dermatology at NYU Langone Health. She is a board-certified dermatologist, fellowship-trained in dermatology, with a clinical focus on disorders of the hair and scalp. Raised in eastern Long Island, New York, she completed her medical training across the country before returning to New York to provide high-quality care. Throughout her dermatology residency, Dr. Lo Sicco recognized the importance of specialized care for alopecia, understanding its significant impact on patients' confidence and quality of life. At NYU Langone, she leads a dedicated team conducting clinical research and novel therapeutic trials specifically targeting alopecia. Together, they strive to enhance the understanding of hair loss while developing new therapies for hair diseases, including vitiligo and post COVID-19 care.
