Dr. Kristian Daneback

Biography

Kristian Daneback is a Professor of Social Work at the University of Gothenburg. He currently serves as the Head of the Department of Sociology and Work Science. His academic leadership experience includes roles such as Acting Dean and Deputy Dean at the Faculty of Social Sciences, where he oversaw finance, quality assurance, and collaboration. Daneback's research primarily focuses on the influence of digital technology on social phenomena, particularly in the domains of internet-related sexuality, digital parenthood, and cyberbullying. He has produced 100 publications, mainly in peer-reviewed international journals, and has significant international research involvement. His teaching emphasizes doctoral education and research methodology. Furthermore, Daneback is active in academic service, having served on the editorial boards of prominent journals and conducted evaluations for doctoral programs.
