Dr. Kristie Boering

Biography

Kristie Boering is a Professor and Lieselotte David Templeton Professor in the Department of Earth and Planetary Science at the University of California, Berkeley. Her research focuses on coupling atmospheric chemistry and climate over timescales ranging from months to billions of years. She utilizes observations from aircraft, ground-based platforms, and computer simulations, along with laboratory experiments, to study photochemical isotope effects at the molecular scale. Her work includes investigations into early Earth and planetary atmospheres, providing insights into photochemical haze production and atmospheric phenomena that regulate climate and habitability on a global scale.
