Biography

Kristin Hauff completed her Bachelor of Science with a Major in Microbiology at the University of Manitoba in 2001 and obtained her PhD in Pharmacology & Therapeutics from the same university in 2009, focusing on Hypocholesterolemia in Barth Syndrome. She pursued a post-doctoral fellowship in Clinical Chemistry at McMaster University, finishing in 2012. Hauff has published numerous peer-reviewed papers and has presented abstracts at international conferences, earning recognition for her research excellence. She is an invited speaker at conferences and community groups, and has lectured at both undergraduate and graduate levels at the University of Manitoba and McMaster University. Hauff holds a cross-appointment as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of British Columbia and has been affiliated with Kelowna General Hospital since 2018. Her research interests include Knowledge Translation, Molecular Pathology, Toxicology, Autoimmunity, High Volume Chemistry, Protein Electrophoresis, and Quality Assurance.
