Professor Kristin Hayes brings 25 years of trial experience to the classroom. She spent 20 years as an Assistant United States Attorney in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, responsible for hundreds of grand jury investigations involving federal law enforcement agencies from inception to prosecution, guilty plea, trial, sentencing, and appeal. She has taught various courses at Pennsylvania law schools, focusing on White Collar Crime, Courtroom Proceedings, and the use of forensic science in criminal cases. Professor Hayes graduated with a B.A. in American Civilization and an M.A. in English from Brown University and received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.
