Biography

Kristina Lovato is an Assistant Professor at the University of California, Berkeley, in the School of Social Welfare. She serves as the Director of the Center on Immigration and Child Welfare Initiative (CICW) and is an inaugural member of the Latinx & Democracy Cluster. She also serves on the editorial board of Families in Society: The Journal of Contemporary Social Services. She earned her PhD in Social Welfare from UCLA and possesses a strong background in social work education and bilingual practice.
