Biography

Kristina Wärmefjord took her PhD in 2011 and works within the research group "Geometry Assurance & Robust Design". Her main research focus is on variation simulation of non-rigid parts, employing methods to decrease the gap between simulated values and real outcomes, which aims to increase the accuracy of non-rigid variation simulations. This work leads to enhanced accuracy and quality improvements in simulations that can replace physical prototypes, ultimately reducing costs. Kristina's research is closely tied to collaboration with several companies, primarily within the automotive and aerospace industries. She also serves as the assistant director of the Wingquist Laboratory VINN Excellence Center and is a project leader for initiatives such as "Smart Assembly" and "Virtual Robust Design Simulation Methods."
