Dr. Kristine Xie

Biography

Kristine Xie is an Associate Professor of Clinical Data Sciences Operations at the USC Marshall School of Business. She previously held academic positions at the China Europe International Business School, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and Fudan University. Dr. Xie earned her Ph.D. in Operations Management from Cornell University. During her doctoral studies, she interned as an Operations Research Consultant for the Atlanta branch of JDA, a consulting company specializing in Supply Chain Operations Management software. She holds a Master of Science in Mathematics from the University of Western Ontario, Canada, and a B.S. in Mathematics from Hunan University in China. Her research interests encompass Supply Chain Operations Management, Healthcare Service Operations Management, Consumer Discrete Choice Modeling, and Revenue Management with Dynamic Pricing. Dr. Xie has published research papers in renowned academic journals such as Production and Operations Management, European Journal of Operational Research, and Decision Sciences. She also has substantial teaching experience across various academic levels, including undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs, as well as supervision of professional master's (MBA, EMBA) students and senior management personnel from various industries and regions.
