Biography

Kristoffer Langkjær Albris is an Associate Professor at the University of Copenhagen, specifically within the Department of Public Health and the Copenhagen Center for Social Data Science (SODAS). He leads the Master's program in Social Data Science and acts as the Deputy Director of SODAS. His research primarily examines the intersection of disasters and climate adaptation, focusing on sea level rise and the implementation of digital methods within data ethics. In addition, he participates in interdisciplinary projects, including Research Network DICAN, which connects anthropologists working on disaster crises. His educational background includes a PhD in Anthropology from the University of Copenhagen, where he has also held positions as an Assistant Professor and a Postdoctoral Fellow. Albris has contributed to the academic community through interdisciplinary and collaborative research addressing the dynamics of coastal conflicts and anticipatory narratives concerning sea level rise in the North Sea region.
