Biography

Kristopher Hendershot is an Acting Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Washington. He is a neurocritical care physician affiliated with Harborview Medical Center and the UW Medical Center Montlake. His clinical focus is on caring for critically ill patients, particularly those presenting neurological emergencies. Hendershot's research emphasizes improving early communication and complex decision-making for older adults suffering from severe acute brain injuries, alongside support for their family members. He holds a Doctorate of Medicine from Cooper Medical School of Rowan University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Davidson College. His research and clinical interests include research communication, complex decision-making, severe acute brain injury, prognostication, clinical neurological emergencies, resuscitation, and human trafficking prevention. Hendershot has contributed to research publications on these subjects.
