Biography

Kristy Kellom is an instructor in the Interior Design Program at the School of Planning, Design and Construction at Michigan State University. She holds a Master of Arts in Environmental Design and a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from MSU. With over 10 years of teaching experience in traditional face-to-face classroom environments, she has developed and implemented web-based courses focused on digital graphics media, computer-aided design, building information modeling, design fundamentals, and creative problem solving in relation to human behavior. Kristy is also a doctoral student at the School of Planning, Design and Construction, with research focusing on active shooter incidents in higher education and the role of building preparedness, incorporating virtual reality applications into her studies.
