Biography

Krzysztof Marciniak is an Associate Professor in the Department of Science and Technology at Linköping University in Sweden. He obtained his Master of Science degree in theoretical physics from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland in 1991. He pursued his Ph.D. in applied mathematics at Linköping University between 1992 and 1998, defending his thesis on 'Soliton Methods Theory of Integrable Mechanical Systems'. After completing his Ph.D., he has been associated with Linköping University, having moved to the Norrköping campus in 1999. In 2005, he attained the rank of Docent in applied mathematics and has held leadership positions including being the chairman of the largest union (Saco-S) at Linköping University in 2013. His research focuses on nonlinear differential equations, particularly those that are integrable, exploring their geometric and algebraic structures which facilitate analytical treatments. He collaborates with colleagues on research that relates various classes of differential equations through various mathematical frameworks. In addition to his research, Marciniak teaches Linear Algebra courses for undergraduate programs in Air Transportation Logistics and Civic Logistics, among others.
