Biography

Kseniia Power is a lecturer at the Penn Language Center, specializing in Ukrainian language instruction. Originally from Kyiv, Ukraine, she completed her K-12 education before pursuing higher education. Kseniia obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Akron, where she also played Division tennis. She furthered her studies with a Master's degree in Physical Education, Sport Science, and Coaching at the same institution. For her master’s thesis, she analyzed the effects of coaching behaviors and intrinsic motivation on the scholarship status of NCAA Division tennis players and their sport commitment. Kseniia completed her PhD in Kinesiology at Temple University, focusing on psychology and human movement. Her dissertation examined eating disorders and body image issues in collegiate athletes, reflecting her commitment to advancing knowledge in the field of sports psychology. She has also served as a Volunteer Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach at Temple University, enriching her practical experience in sports education.
