Biography

Kuang-An Chang is a Professor at Texas A&M University in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering. He obtained his Ph.D. from Cornell University in 1999, following a Master’s degree in 1994 from the same institution, and a Bachelor’s degree from National Taiwan University in 1991. His research interests focus on wave breaking processes, wave-structure interactions, and sediment dynamics. Additionally, he explores environmental fluid mechanics and non-intrusive quantitative measurement techniques. Over the years, Chang has received several prestigious awards, such as the Lockheed Martin Excellence Teaching Award in 2012 and the Zachry Award for Excellence in Teaching for 2008-2009. He was also a recipient of the Invitation Fellowship Award from the Japan Society Promotion Science for the 2009-2010 period. Chang's work and contributions have significantly advanced the fields related to civil and environmental engineering.
