Professor Dr. Kurt Ristroph

Biography

Kurt Ristroph is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agricultural & Biological Engineering at Purdue University, with a courtesy appointment in Chemical Engineering. His research focuses on various aspects of biological engineering and process engineering, particularly the development of scalable nanomaterials for medical and agricultural applications. His interests include controlled drug delivery in humans, plants, and animals, as well as plant bionanotechnology and translational nanomedicine. Ristroph has expertise in soft material science and process scale-up, particularly in applications targeting pathogens. Through his work, he aims to advance the field of biological engineering, leveraging innovative materials and processes to address real-world challenges.
