Biography

Kwok Ho (Koko) Lam is a Reader in Ultrasonics at the University of Glasgow. His academic journey includes receiving M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees in Applied Physics from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HKPolyU). Dr. Lam has held significant roles including Postdoctoral Fellow and Research Associate at the NIH Resource Center for Medical Ultrasonic Transducer Technology. Starting his academic career as an Assistant Professor in 2013, he later became Associate Professor and Associate Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering at HKPolyU in 2019. His research interests lie in materials for energy conversion and storage, ultrasound transducer technology for biomedical applications, and multimodal imaging technology, with over 220 publications and more than 190 SCI journal papers. He has received numerous accolades including the Early Career Award from the Research Grants Council of Hong Kong. Besides his teaching and research, Dr. Lam is actively involved in various professional societies and editorial roles.
