Biography

Kyle DeMars is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Texas A&M University. He holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, earned in 2010, and has a Master's and Bachelor's degree in the same field from the same institution. His research interests center around space situational awareness, guidance, control, and Bayesian filtering, as well as multitarget tracking and information theory. DeMars has received several accolades throughout his career, including the St. Louis Section Young Professional Award from the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 2017 and the Faculty Research Award at Missouri S&T in 2016. He has also been honored with the Outstanding Teaching Award at Missouri S&T for the academic years 2015-2016 and the Advanced Exploration Systems Innovation Award from NASA in 2014.
