Dr. Kyoko Schatzke

Biography

Kyoko Schatzke is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. With over 20 years of experience as a registered nurse in both the United States and Japan, she brings a wealth of knowledge in the field of nursing education. She teaches clinical courses and is dedicated to enhancing nursing education for her students. Kyoko's professional interests include rural health, maternal and infant health, and global health, with a focus on innovative teaching methods. Her research and clinical scholarship emphasize professional practice education, classroom skills lab instructions, and student evaluation techniques. She is actively involved in creating and revising active learning instructional activities and integrating technology into low-fidelity simulation experiences to enrich the learning environment for future nurses.
