Biography

Dr. Chang's research expertise lies in immune mechanisms, viral persistence, and disease pathogenesis, focusing on human hepatitis B and C viruses, as well as HIV co-infection. Crescenz VA Medical Center. With significant clinical experience in treating patients with acute and chronic liver disease, she founded and directed the GI/Liver clinic at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center from 1999 to 2012 and continues to see patients as an attending physician in the GI/Liver Clinic. Throughout her career, Dr. Chang has been committed to mentoring VA researchers and has played a vital role in shaping the future of research in cytopathology and gastroenterology.
