Professor Dr. Laila Riedmiller

Biography

Laila Riedmiller is a Research Associate and Erasmus Coordinator at the Chair of Political Theory and History of Ideas at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg. Her research interests include the history and present of right-wing thought, with specific attention to the dynamics of conservatism, the extreme right, and right-wing terrorism. She also investigates topics such as anti-Semitism, conspiracy thinking, time perceptions, and democracy theories. Laila holds a Master's degree in Political Science and has published several works addressing the intersection of gender and extreme right conspiracy narratives, as well as the importance of diversity strategies in academia. She has previously worked at various universities and research forums, and regularly leads workshops on anti-Semitism and political theory. Her teaching encompasses diverse topics related to political thought, including feminist perspectives and ecological themes in political discourse.
