Biography

Dr. Lam T. Khuat completed his PhD and postdoctoral training in the United States under the supervision of Distinguished Professor William J. Murphy at the University of California, Davis. His research focused on investigating the role of obesity-induced microbiota alterations in graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) outcomes in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). He joined the University of Cambridge to collaborate with Professor Simón Méndez-Ferrer on cholinergic signaling regulation in normal hematopoiesis and GVHD. At the University of Southampton, Dr. Khuat is establishing the Antibody Vaccine Group within the Centre for Cancer Immunology, where he studies the interplay between the gut microbiome, metabolism, and the immune system in the context of HSCT.
