Biography

Joining the Masters Program in Computer Science in 2016, Lamont Samuels has an extensive background in the fast-paced startup world, specifically focusing on developing core software systems for innovative technologies such as digital wallets and cryptocurrencies, as well as surface-haptics displays that allow users to feel objects on display. His recent research interests are primarily directed towards developing high-level programming languages for parallel computing. Dr. Samuels is a fellow alumnus of the University of Chicago and received both his Master of Science and PhD in Computer Science from the same institution.
