Biography

Lana G. Elhalabi M.D. received her undergraduate and medical degrees from the American University of Beirut. She completed her post-doctorate fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco (Langley Porter Institute) and her psychiatry residency at the University of Texas Southwestern. Dr. Elhalabi is a candidate for psychoanalysis at the Boston Psychoanalytic Society & Institute (BPSI) and has completed a one-year fellowship in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and a three-year Advanced Training Program in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (ATP). Currently, she is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, where she provides psychotherapy supervision to psychiatry residents. In addition to her academic role, Dr. Elhalabi maintains a full-time private practice on the East Side of Providence, where she sees patients from Rhode Island and New York.
