Lara Shipley is a photographer, writer, and bookmaker primarily focused on rural culture, identity, mythology, and storytelling, deeply exploring photography’s relationship with evidence. With an MFA in Photography from Arizona State University and a Bachelor's degree in Photojournalism from the University of Missouri, she has transitioned into a professorship in photography and is also a freelance photographer for National Geographic.
