Biography

I am a physician-scientist at Stanford University specializing in gastroenterology. My clinical research interests are primarily in neurogastroenterology, focusing on the interplay between immune cells and the enteric nervous system. I investigate how perturbations in these interactions due to aging disrupt gastrointestinal neuromuscular function. Through my research, I aim to provide novel therapies for treating motility disorders such as constipation and irritable bowel syndrome. I have held various academic positions, including Assistant Professor in Medicine (Gastroenterology and Hepatology) since 2021 and previously as an Instructor in Medicine at Stanford. My clinical and research training includes a fellowship at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and participation in recognized awards for my contributions to the field. I am committed to advancing knowledge and treatment for patients with gastrointestinal conditions.
