Biography

Larissa Atkison holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Toronto. She has completed postdoctoral fellowships at the University of South Carolina, the University of Chicago, and Northwestern University, focusing on Democratic Theory and Public Law. Atkison is currently finalizing her book monograph, 'Tragic Judgement,' which analyzes the works of Greek tragic poet Sophocles in the context of civic judgment during crises. Her research interests include History of Political Thought, Federalism, and Democratic Theory. Additionally, she serves as a research affiliate with the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, contributing to studies on Canadian foreign policy in collaboration with Global Affairs Canada. Throughout her academic career, she has developed teaching and research expertise in her core areas of interest.
