Dr. Larry Kreitzer

Biography

Larry Kreitzer is a Research Lecturer at the Faculty of Theology and Religion at the University of Oxford. He has been a Fellow at Regent's Park College since 1986 and serves as a Tutor for Graduate Admissions at the college. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Kreitzer holds a Research Lectureship in the Faculty of Theology. He is a member of the Society for New Testament Studies and serves on the Editorial Board of the Centre for Baptist Studies, also based at Regent's Park College. His academic interests primarily focus on Biblical Studies, specifically in New Testament studies. Kreitzer's research encompasses Pauline studies, the relationship between Christology and eschatology, Jewish apocalyptic literature, as well as the Apocrypha of John. He also engages in numismatic research as it applies to the New Testament, examines connections between New Testament and modern literature and film, and explores specific texts such as the Corinthian Correspondence and the Epistle to the Ephesians. Moreover, he has a keen interest in the history of 17th-century Baptists, reflecting a commitment to the study of religious texts and their contextual implications.
