Biography

Larry Samuelson is a Douglas Melamed Professor of Economics at Yale University. He earned his B.A. from the University of Illinois in 1974 and his Ph.D. in Economics from the same institution in 1978. His research primarily focuses on economic theory, with particular emphasis on game theory. His areas of specialization include the evolutionary foundations of economic behavior, the theory of repeated games, and non-Bayesian models of behavior. Samuelson has served as a co-editor for Econometrica and the American Economic Review. He has been president of the Game Theory Society and has held various roles within the Econometric Society. Additionally, he is a fellow of the Econometric Society and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
