Biography

Lars-Olof Delsing is a Professor Emeritus at Lund University, specializing in Scandinavian noun phrases and their historical development. He defended his thesis in 1993, which focused on the intricacies of noun phrases in the Scandinavian languages, including dialectal variations such as article usage, adjective incorporation, and possessive constructions. His research has significantly contributed to the understanding of syntax history in Swedish over the past four decades, with particular interests in the verbal system of the Västerbotten dialect, shedding light on its similarities to English.
