Biography

Lars Berglund is a Professor in the Department of Musicology at Uppsala University. He obtained his PhD in 2002 with a dissertation on Christian Geist, a German musician active in Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Copenhagen. He led several research projects and networks examining musical-cultural exchanges and the history of music in Sweden, contributing to digitization and database projects related to music history. His interests converge on the analysis of the intersection between music and cultural history, especially regarding the human voice and vocal performances.
