Biography

Lars Muckli is a Professor of Visual Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Glasgow, where he also serves as the Director of the fMRI Centre for Cognitive Neuroimaging (CCNI). With over 24 years of experience in brain imaging, particularly in the field of fMRI and multi-modal brain imaging, Muckli’s work focuses on cortical feedback mechanisms and layer-specific fMRI. He migrated to Glasgow in 2007, playing a pivotal role in establishing the CCNI and the Imaging Centre of Excellence. His research interests encompass topics such as context-sensitive multisensory object recognition and predictive coding theories. Muckli has published numerous influential papers in the field of neuroscience, contributing valuable insights into auditory and visual processing.
