Biography

Lashitew Gedamu is a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary. His research focuses on leishmaniasis, a chronic disease caused by the intracellular protozoan parasite Leishmania, which affects over 500 million people worldwide.
