Biography

Laura Birkeland is an Assistant Professor and Program Director for the Master of Genetic Counselor Studies at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She is deeply committed to interprofessional collaboration and serves on the steering committee of the UW–Madison Center for Interprofessional Practice Education. Her clinical experience spans decades and primarily focuses on reproductive genetics. Her research interests include enhancing awareness of genetic counseling services and improving outcomes through interprofessional educational collaboration.
