Laura Brandon is an Adjunct Research Professor in the Department of History at Carleton University. She has over 40 years of experience in the fields of contemporary historical art and Canadian international art. Brandon authored the award-winning biography, 'Pegi Life: Pegi Nicol MacLeod, Canadian Artist' (McGill-Queen’s 2005), and other notable works including 'Art Memorial? Forgotten History Canada’s War Art' (University of Calgary Press, 2006) and 'Art War' (I. B. Tauris, 2007). She is also the co-author of 'Canvas War: Painting Canadian Experience' (Douglas McIntyre, 2000). Her extensive experience includes lecturing on these topics and curating more than 40 exhibitions throughout her career. Brandon holds a BA in History and Art History from the University of Bristol, an MA in Art History from Queen’s University, and a PhD in History from Carleton University.
