Biography

Pianist Laura Dahl is an active international performer and educator, renowned for her appearances at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Berlin Philharmonic, and San Francisco's Davies Symphony Hall. As the founder and artistic director of Music by the Mountain, a chamber music festival in Northern California, Dahl promotes collaborative performance and chamber music. Additionally, she is a member of the music faculty at Stanford University, where she teaches collaborative piano, chamber music, art song interpretation, and diction. Her educational background includes degrees from the University of Michigan School of Music and the New England Conservatory of Music. Dahl's extensive training in Germany and her experience as a German Chancellor's Scholar reflect her dedication to the art of performance. She has also taught the Young Artists Training Program at the New National Theatre in Tokyo. Dahl's commitment to musical education and outreach has been recognized, leading her to establish programs that bring classical music to rural communities in Northern California.
